'Cats Post Impressive Fall Academic Accolades

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern men's soccer turned in a team grade point average of 3.346 from the fall quarter to go along with 16 student-athletes that were recognized on the league's Fall Academic All-Big Ten's list.

As a department, Northwestern set a new school record with 163 Fall Academic All-Big Ten honorees. It is the fourth consecutive year that the department has set a new Fall Academic All-Big Ten record. The 163 honorees tops last year's total of 155, the school's previous high for the fall season.

To earn Academic All-Big Ten distinction, an athlete must be in at least their second year at the institution and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0-or-better. The Office of Academic Services & Student Development plays a key role in ensuring that the athletic department succeeds in its mission of helping student-athletes perform well on the field and in the classroom.
