Wildcats Face Michigan in First Conference Matchup this Season

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – No. 18/24 Northwestern Swimming and Diving will travel to Ann Arbor on Saturday to face Big Ten rivals No. 14/16 University of Michigan. The meet starts at 11 a.m. E.T. at the Canham Natatorium with a live stream available on Big Ten Plus.
The Wildcat men and women are coming off commanding performances last weekend against University of Illinois Chicago and University of Illinois (women only).
Fresh from producing top ten times in the country in the 100-yard breaststroke and freestyle, junior and Big Ten Swimmer of the Week Jasmine Nocentini will aim to continue her scintillating form as the Northwestern women seek to take down the Wolverines for the first time since 2001.
Big Ten Co-Freshman of the Week Hanna Shimizu-Bowers and All-American Lola Mull also produced impressive performances in the Wildcats' opener with two victories each and will be integral in the team's quest to pull off the upset against Michigan.
Ryan King, Tyler Lu and Tona Zinn were all double winners on the men's side last weekend and will lead a strong team looking to fine-tune heading into the Purdue Invitational in under two weeks.
National Team Member Kevin Houseman also put on a dominant display last weekend, easily taking the victory in his signature 100-yard breaststroke event. He will be relishing the opportunity to strengthen his B1G title credentials against a conference opponent.
