Wildcats Fall to Wisconsin on Homecoming

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern fell 42-7 to Wisconsin at home Saturday afternoon.

The Badgers improved to 3-3 on the year and 1-2 in Big Ten Conference play, while NU fell to 1-5 overall and 1-2 in conference.

QB Brendan Sullivan, who made his collegiate debut, led all NU rushers with 33 yards in the contest. Anthony Tyus III added 18 yards on the ground, averaging 4.5 yards per carry, as well as one receiving touchdown.

Bryce Kirtz pulled in two catches for 66 yards. Evan Hull made his presence felt in the passing game, hauling in four receptions for 62 yards.

Garnett Hollis, Jr. showed out for the Northwestern defense, recording 5 solo and 9 total tackles. 

How It Happened

Wisconsin scored the opening 35 points of the contest. Northwestern scored with 11:08 left in the fourth quarter to cut the deficit to 35-7. UW added another touchdown with 2:28 remaining in the game to make it 42-7.
