EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern aims for its twelfth straight win against its rivals Illinois on Wednesday at the State Farm Center. Tip off is set for 6 p.m. CT on Big Ten Network+.

The Wildcats ended a two-game skid by coasting past Wisconsin, 67-54, last time out. Sydney Wood and Lindsey Pulliam each scored 14 while Veronica Burton added 13 points and nine assists while shooting 10-10 from the charity stripe.

Burton was named a Naismith Women's Defensive Player of the Year Semifinalist on Tuesday. She was one of 10 players on the list and the only Big Ten representative.

Veronica Burton leads the country in steals per game with 4.2, and the the second ranked player averages just 3.8 per contest. She leads the conference in the stat for the third season in a row.

Northwestern turnover margin of +10.3 leads the country country. Since 2010-11, a team has only posted a season-long turnover margin of +10.0 or better six times.

Pulliam eclipsed the 1,900-point threshold against Wisconsin and now is on pace to cross 2,000 in five or six games. There are three left in the regular season.

The Wildcats defeated Illinois 73-54 in Evanston on Jan. 21 behind 28 points from Pulliam.
