EVANSTON, Ill. – No. 24 Northwestern looks to avenge its loss to Nebraska in a home rematch against the Huskers on Wednesday. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. CT on Big Ten Network+

The Wildcats dropped a 70-54 decision to Rutgers last Thursday after trailing by just two with five minutes to play. Jordan Hamilton, Sydney Wood and Paige Mott all scored in double digits.

Veronica Burton continues to lead the Big Ten in steals per game and is also averaging 17.9 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists per contest. Senior guard Lindsey Pulliam is averaging 16.0 points per game.

The 'Cats did not play on Sunday after its game at #12 Ohio State was postponed due to Covid. It was their second postponement of the season.

Mott has turned in quality minutes in Courtney Shaw's absence and posted career-best numbers of 12 points on 5-7 shooting in 32 minutes against the Scarlet Knights.

Nebraska won the earlier meeting this season between the two teams 65-63 on a buzzer-beater putback from Sam Haiby. The 'Cats erased a nine-point fourth quarter deficit to tie the game with under two minutes to play.
