
Wildcats Fall To No. 23 Aggies in Paradise Jam Finale

ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands – Northwestern went to toe to toe with No. 12 Texas A&M on Saturday night, but fell 77-68 in the Paradise Jam finale in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The 'Cats moved to 4-3 on the season after their fourth game in six days.
Senior guard Veronica Burton led the Wildcat offense with 18 points, four steals, three rebounds and two assists.
First year guards Melannie Daley and Jillian both added double-digit scoring with 15 and 13 points respectively.
The Aggies survived the Wildcat challenge on the back of a 62.5% night from deep, including a 6-6 mark from Paradise Jam Reef Tournament MVP Jordan Nixon.
Burton was named to the all-tournament team for her efforts across the three games, averaging 16.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 4.0 steals.
The Wildcats will rest in Evanston before hitting the road to complete the most challenging stretch of ther non-conference schedule on Thursday, when they visit Clemson for the ACC/B1G Challenge.
