CHARLESTON, S.C. – Clarissa Hand, Christina Hand, and Briana Crowley competed in the ITA All-American Championships last week in Charleston, S.C. featuring over 80 of the best singles players in the country and 32 of the top doubles duos nationally.
Christina Hand and Briana Crowley competed in the doubles tournament, advancing to the third round. Hand and Crowley defeated a duo from the University of Denver in the opening round on Thursday, before taking down the No. 2 seeded Duke team in the second round. The Wildcat pair advanced to the round of 8 before falling to Wake Forest in two sets.
Clarissa Hand was one of 64 players to play in the qualifying round for a spot in the 32-player main draw. Hand needed to win three-straight matches to qualify for the final round, but fell in the opening round to Alana Smith of NC State.
All three 'Cats will return to the team next weekend for the Super Midwest Regionals in Columbus, Ohio.
