#7 Wildcats Host #1 UNC in Monday Night BTN Showdown

EVANSTON, Ill. – No. 7 Northwestern is all set for their final match-up in Ryan Fieldhouse at 6 p.m. on Monday against No. 1 North Carolina on BTN.
The Wildcats are coming off a dominant win against Stanford, earning Combe Family Head Coach Kelly Amonte Hiller's 300th win and improving to 4-2 on the season. Amonte Hiller is the eighth coach in DI women's lacrosse to reach 300 career wins.
Junior Lauren Gilbert led the way against the Cardinal with a career high six goals, going two of two in free position shots. Sophomore Izzy Scane followed close behind Gilbert matching a season high of five goals and Senior Lindsey McKone did not disappoint adding four goals and two assists.
Gilbert and Scane now have 22 and 21 goals on the season respectively, while McKone leads with 29 points from 15 goals and 14 assists. Northwestern still leads the nation in points per game and scoring offense, with the Tar Heels trailing behind in both categories.
After hosting North Carolina the 'Cats will hit the road and open up conference play against Penn State the following Friday.
