No. 19 Wildcats Host Nebraska for Play4Kay Game

EVANSTON, Ill. – The No. 19 Wildcats continue the stretch run of Big Ten play when they welcome Nebraska to Welsh-Ryan Arena on Sunday for the Play4Kay Pink Game, as sponsored by Northwestern Medicine. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. CT and the game will be streamed on BTN+.
Northwestern is wearing pink jerseys to promote awareness for breast cancer through Play4Kay. The link to donate to the Kay Yow Cancer foundation can be found here. The first 200 fans in attendance will receive replica pink shirts.
The 'Cats are in the midst of a historic campaign with five games left to play in the regular season. The team is 21-3 overall and 11-2 in the Big Ten, just a half-game back of Maryland for first place in the league and tied in the loss column.
Northwestern has won four straight games, most recently earning its first win at Michigan since 2015 on Thursday night with a 66-60 decision on the road. Four Wildcats scored either 14 or 13 points led by sophomore Sydney Wood, who did not miss a shot, going 4-4 from the field and 6-6 from the free throw line.
Four of the Wildcat starters, Lindsey Pulliam, Abbie Wolf, Abi Scheid and Veronica Burton, are all averaging over 10 points per game. Pulliam's scoring average of 19.0 points per game ranks third in the Big Ten and 25th in the country.
The 'Cats are up to 13 in the latest RPI rankings, according to WarrenNolan.com. Nebraska ranks 82 in RPI with a 16-9 overall record.
Northwestern's ball-control metrics dominante the national leaderboards, as they have all season. The team ranks fourth nationally in assist-to-turnover ratio with a mark of 1.49, and in the top-15 nationally in assists per game, turnovers per game, and turnover margin.
Burton ranks eighth nationally with 3.5 steals per game and Scheid leads the country in three-point percetange with a rate of 50.0 percent.
The Huskers have two players averaging over 10 points per game in sophomores Leigha Brown (13.8) and Sam Haiby (10.5).
