NU Grabs a Trio of Singles and Doubles Wins on Day One of Miami Invite

MIAMI — Northwestern women's tennis opened the 2020 spring season by picking up a trio of singles and doubles wins at the Miami Invite.
Vanessa Streng and Hannah McColgan took down their opposition in straight sets, while Caroline Pozo rallied to grab a three-set win over Vanderbilt's Marcella Cruz.
McColgan and Julie Byrne picked up a 6-3 decision in doubles to top Miami's Selma Cadar and Maya Tahan. First year Briana Crowley partnered with Inci Ogut to nab a 6-2 win in their match against Miami's Nada Dimovska and Yuna Ita, while Pozo and Streng earned a 6-2 victory over Oklahoma's Kinah Motosono and Marcelina Poslinska.
