'Cats Unveil 2019 Enhancements At Ryan Field

EVANSTON, IL -- Northwestern kicks off its home schedule Saturday at 2:30 p.m. CT against UNLV, and the opener in Evanston is the first opportunity for fans to experience a variety of upgrades to gameday at Ryan Field for the 2019 campaign.
"There's nothing like college football gamedays, and each year we look for ways to improve the fan experience in and around our venue," said Associate A.D. for Marketing Heather Obering. "From the time you buy your ticket to the time you return home, we want it to be a series of first-class encounters. Many of these upgrades at Ryan Field are a result of direct feedback from our dedicated season ticket holders and fans."
Enhancements debuting Saturday at Ryan Field include:

Enhancements debuting Saturday at Ryan Field include:
- A transformed concessions menu from Levy Restaurants including items such as the Breaded Steak Sandwich featuring Meats By Linz, Asian Meatball Sandwich, Piri Piri Chicken Naan Sandwich, popcorn from Nuts On Clark, Kronos Gyros, Real Urban BBQ, a Beyond Meat Burger, and more.
- The larger, more accessible NZone opens three hours before kickoff near the southeast corner of Ryan Field. Fans can purchase beer, wine and new Levy concessions offerings, gather with friends, and watch early college football action. New this season is the ability for fans to utilize the space during games (alcohol sales end at kickoff) and re-enter Ryan Field.
- An enhanced Wildcat Alley pregame fan festival hosts new fan activities, food trucks, performances by the Northwestern University Marching Band, and beer and wine sales.
- Print-at home parking and tickets allow easy transfer between fans and paperless use.
- A south stadium bypass has been created to eliminate congestion and allow for easy movement throughout the south end zone.
- The new box office in Welsh-Ryan Arena allowing for assistance, service and transactions in a comfortable, indoor space.
- An upgraded Fan Services Headquarters in the south end zone to assist with any fan needs throughout gameday.
- New, secure nursing room in Anderson Hall on the northeast side of the stadium will better serve families with young children.
- More efficient parking procedures to ease lot entry and neighborhood traffic before games.
