'The Foundation': Season 5, Episode 1

EVANSTON, Illinois. – The Foundation: Northwestern Football, from the Emmy Award-winning Studio N, kicked off a new season Wednesday, September 11, on NBC Sports Chicago. Now in its fifth season, the program offers an unparalleled behind-the-scenes perspective on Chicago's Big Ten Team.
New episodes of The Foundation: Northwestern Football will air every other week during the season on NBC Sports Chicago and be available on-demand across all Northwestern digital channels. For the first time ever this year, fans outside the Chicagoland region can watch on television as the show also will be broadcast across the nation on Big Ten Network.
The Foundation provides fans with an exclusive inside look at the 2019 Wildcats. The series includes access to practices, meetings, team travel and the lives of student-athletes on and around campus throughout the year. The first season was released in the spring of 2015 and it expanded during the fall of 2016 to an eight-episode television show. Last season, the program documented every step of the Wildcats journey to a first Big Ten West title and a thrilling Holiday Bowl championship, Northwestern's third-consecutive bowl victory.
The Wildcats face off against UNLV in their home opener at Ryan Field on Saturday, September 14, with kickoff at 2:30 p.m. CT. The 2019 home slate features a Friday night rematch of the 2018 Big Ten Championship Game against Ohio State, as well as visits from Michigan State, Iowa and Purdue.
