NU Alum Scott Harrington Earns PGA Tour Card
8/11/2019 9:35:00 PM | Men's Golf
Last summer, Harrington, 38, took a leave of absence from playing competitive golf to support his wife, Jenn in her battle against Hodgkin's lymphoma. A year later, Harrington embraces his wife on the 18th hole after making his PGA Tour dreams official with a tap-in birdie and a second place finish.
"I've learned so much in the last two years about what's really important," said Harrington. "To be able to do it for her [Jenn], really means the world."
Harrington becomes the third Wildcat this year to earn a spot on the biggest stage in golf, alongside Luke Donald and Matt Fitzpatrick.
The culmination of an emotional rollercoaster for @ScottyGlf and his family.

His wife Jenn has twice battled Hodgkin's lymphoma and is now cancer-free. She flew in Saturday night and got to hug her husband on 18 as he heads to the @PGATOUR. pic.twitter.com/6dupdnM3WJ
The dream is now reality.

Scott Harrington put his dreams of a Tour card on hold last year to care for his cancer-stricken wife. A year later she's in remission and he's headed to the Tour, at age 38. "I knew this was gonna to be the year."

Scott Harrington is 38 years old. He turned pro in 2003. He's literally spent an entire career chasing his dream of making it to the PGA Tour. Last year, he put that dream on hold while helping care for his wife, who had cancer. Today he realized that dream. He's on the PGA Tour.
