Northwestern Earns Three Big Ten Individual Awards

EVANSTON, Ill.- The Northwestern Wildcats earned three All-Big Ten individual awards from Selena Lasota, Izzy Scane and Combe Family Head Coach Kelly Amonte Hiller, the conference announced Monday.
Senior attacker Selena Lasota was unanimously named Big Ten attacker of the year less than a week after being a unanimous selection to the All-Big Ten team. Lasota has a team leading 74 goals in 2019 through the conference tournament and is a three-time conference player of the week. The preseason All-American also tallied 15 assists heading into the NCAA Championship and was voted to the All-Tournament team..
First-Year Izzy Scane was unanimously voted the 2019 Big Ten Freshman of the year after earning seven consecutive Big Ten Freshman of the Week awards in addition to being named to the All-Big Ten team. Scane comes into the tournament third in the nation among first-years with 52 goals and was also named to the 2019 Big Ten All-Tournament Team.
Amonte Hiller wins her first Big Ten Coach of the Year award after guiding her team to the programs first ever Big Ten Tournament title. Amonte Hiller shares the award with Maryland head coach Cathy Reese.
Chicago's Big Ten Team will be hosting the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament at Martin Stadium and will face the winner of Notre Dame vs Stanford on May 12.
