Sheridan and Guevara Invited to NCAA Championship

EVANSTON, Ill. – The field has been set for the Women's Swimming and Diving National Championship and Northwestern will have two swimmers in the competition.
 
Sophomore Calypso Sheridan and first-year Miriam Guevara have both qualified to compete at the 2019 NCAA championship hosted by University of Texas.
 
Sheridan will compete in the 200 IM, 400 IM and 200 breast while Guevara in will race the 100 fly. Both student-athletes have broken school records in their respective events multiple times this season and finished top 10 at the Big Ten Championship last month. Guevara finished ninth in the 100 fly and was second among all first-years. Sheridan finished second in the 400 IM, fifth in the 200 IM and fourth in the 200 breast.
 
Senior Olivia Rosendahl and the NU divers will head to West Lafayette for the NCAA Zone Diving meet which is set to begin March 14 to determine the national diving qualifiers.
 
The NCAA Championships will run March 20-24 with prelims and finals on each day of competition. The  Wildcats will have athletes competing on both Thursday (200 IM) and Friday (400 IM and 100 fly) with prelims starting at 9 a.m. and finals at 5 p.m.
