2019 NCAA Championship Meet Central


Meet Schedule 

EVANSTON, Ill.  –  Northwestern will be represented by three student-athletes at the 2019 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships this weekend at the University of Texas.
 
Over the weekend at the Zone C diving championships, senior Olivia Rosendahl qualified for the national championship meet with a second place finish in the 1-meter dive and a fourth place finish in the platform.
 
Rosendahl will be joined by sophomore Calypso Sheridan and first-year Miriam Guevara. Guevara will be competing in the 100 fly and Sheridan in the 400 IM, 200 IM and 200 breast.
 
Olivia Rosendahl
Reigning NCAA Champion Olivia Rosendahl will be representing the Wildcats in her fourth NCAA Championship in the 1-meter dive and platform.
 
In the 2019 season, Rosendahl earned her seventh Big Ten Diver of the year award and was the highest Big Ten finisher at the ACC/Big Challenge. At the 2019 Big Ten Championships, Rosendahl finished with three top-ten finishes, earning silver in 3M and platform and third in the 1M. At the 2018 NCAA Championships, Rosendahl earned three All-American awards with top ten finishes in the 1M and 3M and her second national championship in platform.
 
Calypso Sheridan
Sophomore Calypso Sheridan will represent the Wildcats for the second consecutive year in the 200 IM, 400 IM and 200 Breast. Sheridan enters the NCAA championships ranked in top 25 in each of her events, with top-15 times in the 200 breast and 400 IM.
 
At the 2019 Big Ten Championship, Sheridan contributed a team-high 79 individual points and 96 relay points with three top-ten individual finishes in the 200 IM, 400 IM, and 200 Breast. Sheridan was a part of seven school records including the 200 IM, 400 IM, 100 back, 200 back, 200 breast, 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay.

Miriam Guevara
First-year Miriam Guevara is competing in her first NCAA Championship. Guevara enters the competition ranked 31st in the 100 fly.
 
During the 2019 season, Guevara claimed the 100 fly Northwestern school record with a ninth place finish at the Big Ten Championships. Guevara was also a part of two-record setting relays, the 200 medley and 400 medley.
 
Competition will begin Wednesday afternoon. Live results will be available for both swimming and diving and the finals for Wednesday and Thursday will be broadcast on ESPN3, as well as ESPNU on Friday and Saturday.
