EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern is ready to host MacMurray on Tuesday for the Wildcats' home opener. First pitch is set for 3 p.m., and admission will be free.

MID-WEEK ACTION: Northwestern is set to play a Tuesday matchup against MacMurray ... The game will be NU's home opener, after the March 5 contest against UIC was postponed due to weather.
DOING SOME RECON: MacMurray has only played four games this season after having seven games cancelled in the early slate ... MacMurray's last game was a 14-1 win over Robert Morris in Chicago on March 1.
THE BROTHERS ARE GETTING IT DUNN: Senior Jack Dunn and redshirt first-year David Dunn are third and fifth in the Big Ten in batting average, respectively ... Jack is hitting .380, while David is hitting .354 ... NU and Illinois are the only B1G teams with two players inside the top-five in batting average.
THIS AND THAT: Northwestern's team batting average of .252 is the fifth-best mark in the Big Ten after the first four weekends ... The 'Cats drew 54 walks in the first four weeks, tied for fourth-best in the Conference ... NU also swiped 19 bags, the fifth-most in the B1G ... NU's 16 strikeouts by their pitchers on the Feb. 22 game at Duke is tied for the most by a Big Ten team this season ... Northwestern's .968 fielding percentage (15 E/471 TC) is fourth-best in the Conference.
IRON SHARPENS IRON: Through the first two weeks of the season, Northwestern has the 23rd-strongest strength of schedule in the nation.
NOT DUNN YET: Senior infielder Jack Dunn has started every game since coming to Evanston, a 170-game streak ... He is riding a 36-game on-base streak, dating back to April 7, 2018 vs. Michigan ... His .483 on-base percentage is second-best in the Big Ten, trailing only Zac Taylor's .491 mark (ILL).
ROAD WARRIORS: Prior to today's game, NU had played their first 13 contests on the road ... The 'Cats will play a three-game set at Kent State this weekend.
CALAR-CRUSHING IT: Anthony Calarco is second among all Big Ten first-years (min. 40 PA) with a 17.1 BB% (7 BB/41 PA) ... The Winnetka, Illinois, native has driven in six runs and has scored four times in 11 games.
MR. 305: Junior infielder Alex Erro hit .296 last year and, in 196 at-bats, only struck out 21 times ... That is 10.7 percent of the time ... In his career, he's only struck out 48 times in 483 at-bats (9.9 percent).
TAKE YOUR BASE: No Big Ten baseball player has been more effective at drawing walks this season than senior Willie Bourbon ... His total walks (14) lead the Conference, in addition to his base on balls per game mark (1.08) ... Bourbon ranks 33rd in the nation with that 1.08 mark ... The skill has allowed him into the top-15 in on base percentage in the Big Ten (.418, t-11th).
WHAT A REVELATION: Junior righty Nick Paciorek, after converting from a catcher, has been a tremedous contributor for the Wildcats ... He has two saves in seven appearances, totalling 7.2 IP ... His 39.4 strikeout percentage is third-best in the Big Ten (min. 10 BF) ... He has been hot as of late, as 12 of his last 18 outs have been recorded via the punchout ... Opposing batters are hitting .148 against Paciorek.
QUINNIE THE POOH: Sophomore southpaw Quinn Lavelle has been a steady presence for the 'Cats as their Sunday starter ... He leads Northwestern with a 2.01 ERA (5 ER/22.1 IP), which is 10th in the Big Ten ... Thirty of his 67 outs have been recorded through ground balls (44.7 percent).
WHEN IT MATTERS MOST: Senior infielder Jack Dunn is hitting a team-best .600 (9-for-15) with runners in scoring position ... He also leads NU with a .467 clip with two outs (7-for-15) ... His six two-out RBI are second-best on the squad, trailing only Casey O'Laughlin's seven RBI.
