BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Northwestern women's swimming and diving team took to the pool for day three of the Big Ten Championships in Bloomington, Ind.

The Wildcats waisted no time getting the day started with first-year Miriam Guevara shattering an 11-year old school record in the 100 butterfly, touching in 52.84. Sophomore Calypso Sheridan followed suit, breaking her own school record in the 400 IM in 4:06.76, which was good enough to give her the highest seed going into the finals later that afternoon.

In the prelims alone, the 'Cats wracked up a total of 10 new personal bests across the five events.

Later that evening, NU was back in the pool for that finals of the 100 fly, 400 IM, 100 breast, 200 free relay and the 3M dive.

In the 100 fly, Guevara bettered her previous time, breaking her own school record and finishing ninth to add 20 points to the Northwestern total. In the 400 IM, Sheridan also dropped her time by almost a full second to finish behind Indiana Senior, Andison who set a new pool record en route to claiming the Big Ten title.

First-year Tara Vovk was the top finisher in the B- Final, with a time of 59.94 to bring the Wildcat total to 301 points. Relay team of Emma Theobald, Malorie Han, Jasmine Heller and Nicole Aarts took seventh in the 200 free relay, in a season best time of 1:31.39.

On the boards, senior diver Olivia Rosendahl finished second in the 3M dive, just .75 points off her personal best with 389.20 points.

Through the third day of competition, the Wildcats are currently sitting seventh with 392 points, just seven points back from sixth place, Purdue.

Chicago's Big Ten Team will be back in the pool at 10 a.m.for their final day of competition starting with prelims of the 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly and the platform dive. Racing will resume at 3:18 pm for the first round of 1650 free before a brief break. Finals of each event and the 400 free relay is set to begin at 5:30 pm.
