Wildcats Ready for Rematch at Purdue

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern (15-10, 8-6 Big Ten) will travel to West Lafayette, Indiana to take on the Purdue Boilermakers (16-11, 7-7 Big Ten) on Sunday. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m. CT, with live coverage on BTN.
The Wildcats look to keep their momentum going after dominating Penn State, 78-63, on Thursday. The #B1GCats started the game on a 9-0 run and never let Purdue mount a comeback. Lindsey Pulliam paced the 'Cats with a game-high 22 points to put her in fourth in the Big Ten with 16.6 points per game. It marked Pulliam's 24th straight game with double-digit scoring and ninth 20-point performance of the season.
Abi Scheid went 4-for-5 fromn three to help lead the Wildcats to a season-high 58-percent from beyond the arc. Jordan Hamilton also joined Pulliam and Scheid in double-figures with 12 points, while Veronica Burton and Bryana Hopkins were close behind with nine points each.
Purdue enters the contest sitting in eighth in the Big Ten and looking to bounce back after two consecutive losses.
The Wildcats faced the Boilermakers in a thrilling matchup in Welsh-Ryan Arena on Jan. 13. Northwestern stormed back from an 11-point halftime deficit to cut the lead to one but it was not enough to take down the Boilermakers as Purdue left with the 57-54 victory.
