Northwestern is finishing up at the ITA Midwest Regionals hosted by Michigan State in East Lansing, Michigan Tuesday. Tournament highlights include strong performances in the main singles draw from Christina Hand, Hannah McColgan, Julie Byrne, Inci Ogut and Caroline Pozo and in doubles from the Pozo/Crowley, Ogut/Hand and McColgan/Byrne teams.

The Wildcats will head to Tuscaloosa, Alabama next to take part in the Roberta Alison Classic hosted by the University of Alabama on November 1 and 2.

Northwestern concluded competition at the ITA Midwest Regionals tournament hosted by Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio. The competition was headlined by Dominik Stary for the 'Cats who advanced to the singles semifinals. 

Men's tennis will be back in action at the Big Ten Singles/Doubles Tournament November 1-4 in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Northwestern wrapped up its competition at the North American Cup in Kansas City, Missouri on Monday, facing some of the nation's top fencers in Division I foil, epee and saber and Division II saber.

The Wildcats' next test will come November 2 when they head to Glenview, Illinois to compete at the Fall NU Duals, their first duals competition of the season.

Northwestern endured two tough road losses last week against two highly ranked opponents, falling to No. 6 Minnesota on Friday and No. 7 Wisconsin on Saturday. First-year Temi Thomas-Ailara remained hot, picking up 12 kills against both Minnesota and Wisconsin.

The Wildcats have an opportunity to pick up two conference wins this week with opponents on the docket in Maryland and Rutgets. The 'Cats will dace off against Maryland on Wednesday October 23 at 7 p.m. at Welsh-Ryan Arena before traveling to Piscataway, New Jersey for a matchup with Rutgers at noon on Saturday, October 27.

Last week, the Wildcats played Ohio State to a 1-1 draw in double overtime Thursday and lost 3-1 to a tough Penn State team on Sunday.

Heading into the last two games of the season, Northwestern holds onto the eight seed in the Big Ten Women's Soccer Tournament, looking to punch its ticket to the postseason with home games against Minnesota at Martin Stadium at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 24 and against Wisconsin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 27. Both games are televised on BTN.

Thursday's game is the Think Pink game, as presented by Northwestern Medicine. Fans will receive pink poms and early arriving students will receive scarves and can attend the Homecoming Tailgate. Sunday's game is Senior Day, as presented by The Merion, as well as Alumni Day. Alumni can register here. Early arriving fans will receive vuvuzelas and early arriving students will receive crewnecks.

  Northwestern men's soccer will host Michigan State (3-7-3) on Friday hoping to add another quality Big Ten win to their resume. The Wildcats will look to ride the momentum from the 2-0 victory against Rutgers on Sunday. Matt Moderwell picked up his fifth assist and first-year Logan Weaver netted his first goal of his Northwestern career to help the Wildcats top the Scarlet Knights.

Northwestern shut out the Kent State Golden Flashes this weekend 5-0. The Wildcats are now 12-5 this year yet have fallen to fourth place in the Big Ten. Redshirt first-year forward Bente Baekers got the hat trick against the Golden Flashes, bringing her to 22 goals on the season.

This week, Wildcats get ready to face off with Iowa at noon this Saturday in Iowa City.
