EVANSTON, Ill. — First-year Wildcat Kayla Blas and incoming signee Peyton Halsey have been named to the U.S. U-19 Women's National Field Hockey Team roster. These players will be joining the U-19 USWNT on a tour through Germany in April and take part in the Young Women's National Championship in June.
Blas and Halsey earned their spots on the team following a three-day camp held in Pennsylvania last week. Players were selected to participate in this selection camp after competing in the 2018 Junior National Camp and the Citi National Futures Championship.
Blas, a first-year, hails from Pendleton, New York. Blas played on varsity for all four years of high school, tallying 47 career goals and 125 career assists. During her high school career, Blas was named to the All-WNY First Team in 2016 and 2017 and the NFHCA Second Team All-American and All-Region in 2017.
