PISCATAWAY, Nj – Led by Senior Selena Lasota's career-high nine goals and first-year Izzy Scane's career-high six goals, Northwestern was unstoppable offensively, outscoring Rutgers 23-13.

The Wildcats started off the game on a 3-0 run with two goals from Scane and Lasota's first score of the game.

After a Rutgers goal, the 'Cats responded with back-to-back goals from Scane, her third and fourth of the day. Scane would also score the next NU goals bringing her total to five. Back-to-back goals from Lauren Gilbert extended the Wildcat lead, followed by Scane's sixth goal of the game to give NU a 10-5 lead with just under 13 minutes to play. In the first half, Scane averaged a goal every two minutes for the first ten minutes of play.

NU closed the first half on 4-0 run with goals from seniors Emily Stein, Leighton Yenor, junior Megan Kinna and second from Lasota.

Following a Rutgers goal to open the second half, Lastoa scored her third goal of the game to give the Wildcats a seven-goal lead. After two additional goals by the Scarlet Knights, Northwestern responded  with three scores, two from Lasota and one from sophomore Lindsey McKone.

Sophomore Brennan Dwyer was dominant on the draw, picking up 14 of the 24 Northwestern draws and out-drawing Rutgers's 13 team draws.

The Knight's tried for a late second half push, but their two scores were met with five unanswered #B1GCat goals, one from Yenor and four consecutive goals from Lasota. The 'Cats finished the night with their highest scoring game this season and tied for the second highest in a single game since 2010.

Chicago's Big Ten Team will be back on the field March 23 as they take on Marquette in a Big East showdown at Valley Fields at 7 pm.
