Lau Earns Spot In U.S. Women's Amateur Championship

HARVARD, Mass. – Stephanie Lau carded a 68 on Tuesday at Shaker Hills Golf Club to take home co-medalist honors and earn a spot in the 2018 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship.
 
The performance capped a sterling week for the rising senior, who earned runner-up honors at the 2018 Ladies' British Open Amateur Championship on Saturday at Hillside. The Fullerton, California, native advanced to the Round-of-16 at last year's U.S. Women's Amateur, falling to eventual runner-up Albane Valenzuela.

The 2018 United States Women's Amateur Championship will be contested August 6-12 at Golf Club of Tennessee (6,365 yards; Par 71) in Kingston Springs, Tenn. The competition will begin with 36 holes of stroke play, before the field of 156 is cut to 64 for a match-play bracket. Fox Sports 1 will broadcast coverage of the event from August 8-12.
