Past and Present Student-Athletes Commemorate Bursar's Office Takeover

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern student-athletes past and present recently gathered at the Stadium Club within Ryan Field to commemorate the University-wide 50th anniversary of the Bursar's Office Takeover in 1968.
Featuring speeches by Don Jackson '65, Rishal Stanciel '87, and Jared Thomas '19, the reception was an opportunity for Wildcats from different eras to come together and connect or reconnect while discussing the issues that African-American student-athletes at NU have dealt with over the years while learning from one another and looking ahead to the future.
