Northwestern Excels in Latest Academic Progress Rates

EVANSTON, Ill. - Eight Northwestern teams posted perfect Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores in the latest data released by the NCAA on Tuesday. Women's golf tallied its 20th straight unblemished score to headline the group.

Also perfect were cross country, lacrosse, men's tennis, softball, track, volleyball and women's tennis. Volleyball's perfect score extended the program's streak to 15 consecutive seasons, while lacrosse has now earned a perfect score for eight straight years. Men's tennis (six consecutive) and women's tennis (five consecutive) also preserved their runs of unblemished APR scores.

Northwestern football earned a score of 993, ranking among the top 15 Division I programs.

The four-year APR is a metric designed by the NCAA to track eligibility, retention and graduation among student-athletes. The most recent data includes the years 2021-22 through 2024-25.
