Several Kick Times, TV Designations Announced for 2018 Season

EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern and the Big Ten Conference, in partnership with television partners, have announced game times and designations for seven games in the 2018 season.
Game Times and TV Designations Announced for the Northwestern Wildcats
Aug. 30 – Northwestern at Purdue, ESPN, 7 p.m. CT
Sept. 8 – Duke at Northwestern, ESPNU, 11 a.m. CT
Sept. 15 – Akron at Northwestern, BTN, 6:30 p.m. CT
Oct. 6 – Northwestern at Michigan State (HC), Network TBA, 11 a.m. CT
Oct. 13 – Nebraska at Northwestern (HC), Network TBA, 11 a.m. CT
Oct. 20 – Northwestern at Rutgers (HC), Network TBA, 11 a.m. CT
Nov. 3 – Notre Dame at Northwestern, ABC/ESPN/ESPN2, TBA
The Wildcats will open the season at Purdue in front of a nationally televised audience on ESPN. Chicago's Big Ten Team opens Ryan Field a week later versus ACC foe Duke on ESPNU and will host its first night game of the 2018 campaign versus Akron on the Big Ten Network.
Television assignments for the Wildcats' annual homecoming contest versus Nebraska and visits to Michigan State and Rutgers will be announced at a later date. A game time for the highly-anticipated showdown versus Notre Dame will also be announced at a later date.
Northwestern wrapped up the 2017 campaign with a 24-23 victory over Kentucky in the Music City Bowl to earn its second-straight bowl victory for the first time in program history. The Wildcats return seven starters on offense and defense, including All-Big Ten honorees Clayton Thorson, Tommy Doles, Paddy Fisher, Joe Gaziano, Nate Hall, Samdup Miller and Charlie Kuhbander.
