Erro Turns in Four-Hit Performance at Western Michigan

Erro finished 4-for-5 with a double, three singles, three RBI and two runs scored. It was Erro's first four-hit game of the season and third of his career. His three runs batted in were a team-best.
Willie Bourbon went 3-for-5 with a triple, two RBI and two runs scored. Bourbon's triple was the third of the season, which places him in a tie for the team lead with Charlie Maxwell and David Dunn.
Jack Dunn went 2-for-5 in the game with a team-high four runs scored. Dunn extended his hit streak to 12 games.
The Wildcats finished with 17 hits, matching the team's season-high which came at Kansas on Feb. 24. Six of the team's 17 hits went for extra bases.
Northwestern used six different pitchers in the contest. Danny Katz made his fourth start of the season and threw 3.0 innings. Richard Fordon and Tommy Bordignon were efficient in their relief appearances. Fordon went 1.1 innings, allowing just one hit and striking out two, while Bordignon threw a hitless ninth and fanned one batter.
Western Michigan held on to win the mid-week slugfest over NU, 26-15.
Northwestern returns to action on Friday, May 4, at 5 p.m. CT, when it kicks off a series at Purdue. The Wildcats have beaten the Boilermakers in five of the last six meetings.
