Northwestern Announces Spring Schedule

EVANSTON, Ill. -- The Northwestern women's soccer team is set for a six-match spring schedule, which will include playing host to a trio of local rivals in the annual Chicago Cup. The spring season will kick off at Martin Stadium on April 8 and conclude May 5.
Admission to all spring contests is free.
The Wildcats finished the 2017 season with a 12-8-3 record, culminating in a third-straight NCAA Tournament appearance in which they pushed eventual national runner-up UCLA to overtime in the Round of 32. The season was highlighted by second-place finishes in the Big Ten regular season and in the conference tournament, with a narrow loss to Penn State in a wild final match that was played across five-and-a-half hours and on two separate fields due to severe weather delays.
To kick off the spring session, Northwestern will face UIC in the first leg of the Chicago Cup, hosted at Martin Stadium at 3:30 p.m. April 8. The 'Cats will return home to complete the Cup after a trip to Milwaukee to take on Marquette, playing either Loyola or DePaul in a championship or 3rd place match April 22. Chicago's Big Ten Team will travel to South Bend, Ind. to take on fellow NCAA tournament squad Notre Dame before the spring season wraps up with a May 5th home game against Milwaukee.
The team will also welcome its alumni back to Martin Stadium on April 22 for the annual Alumni Game at 12 p.m.
