Olivia Rosendahl: Back-to-Back Platform National Champion

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Olivia Rosendahl is a national champion once again.
The Northwestern junior claimed her second-consecutive platform national title Saturday evening to conclude an outstanding NCAA Championships that included All-America honors in the 1-meter and Honorable Mention All-America honors in the 3-meter.
Rosendahl entered the finals Saturday evening seeded fourth and that's where she stood after one round, but she turned it up over her last four dives to close the gap and ultimately pull away from the field.
The Los Angeles, California, native posted her best score of the finals on her third dive, recording a 76.8 on an Armstand Back 2 Somersault 1 ½ Twist Free. She entered the third dive trailing Indiana's Jessica Parratto by 14.15 points, but closed the gap to just 2.95 points with the score.
Rosendahl went on to post a 72.0 on a Inward 3 ½ Somersault Tuck in round four to build a 9.25-point lead and again scored a 72.0 on a Back 2 ½ Somersault 1 ½ Twist Pike to finish the finals with a 346.15.
Following the meet, Rosendahl was named the College Swimming Coaches Association of America Diver of the Year and Alik Sarkisian was named the CSCAA Women's Diving Coach of the Year.
