EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern will play its final game of the regular season at home on Sunday versus Rutgers. Seniors Oceana Hamilton and Lydia Rohde will be honored pre-game in front of the home crowd at historic Beardsley Gym. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. CT.
The game will be streamed on BTN Plus via BTN2Go with WNUR covering the call on the air.
The matchup is the first meeting between the two teams this season. Northwestern defeated Rutgers both times they met during the 2016-2017 season.
Junior Pallas Kunaiyi-Akpanah stuffed the stat sheet in the Wildcats' last game at Ohio State with her 17th double-double of the season, scoring 23 points while securing 14 rebounds. She needs one more double-double to tie Patricia Babcock (1993-1994) and Nia Coffey (2015-2016) for most in a single season in Northwestern history.
Sunday will also mark head coach Joe McKeown's 1000th career game, adding to the already long list of achievements and accolades for the legendary head coach.
Seniors Oceana Hamilton and Lydia Rohde will finish their regular season careers Sunday. In the 2017-2018 campaign, Hamilton is second on the team in blocks only to Kunaiyi-Akpanah while having played 400 fewer minutes. Rohde shot a team-high 40 percent from three before an injury shortened her season.
There will be free shuttles to the game from campus, and all students that attend Senior Day will also be eligible for a raffle to win an iPhone X.
Following the conclusion of the regular season, the 'Cats will head to Indianapolis for the Big Ten Tournament which begins on February 28 and concludes March 4.
