
Herbert, Chapman, Levin to be Inducted Into Midlands Hall of Fame

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. — The Ken Kraft Midlands Hall of Fame will add three members to its Hall of Fame on Sunday, highlighted by four-time Northwestern All-American Jake Herbert.
JAKE HERBERT
A three-time Midlands champion, Herbert enjoyed one of the most decorated careers of any Northwestern wrestler, winning two national championships in 2007 and 2009 which both capped off undefeated seasons. Herbert won the 2009 Hodge Trophy for the nation's best collegiate wrestler.
MIKE CHAPMAN
Chapman is considered by many as the nation's leading authority on the history of wrestling, and he created the International Wrestling Institute and Museum as well as the Dan Hodge Trophy. He has been named National Wrestling Writer of the Year five times and was previously given the Order of Merit by the National Wrestling Hall of Fame for lifetime achievement.
SARA LEVIN
Levin has been a long-time tournament administrator for the Midlands Championships and has been an integral member of the wrestling community for years. She has worked in a variety of positions with USA Wrestling as well as the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.
The addition of these three members brings the grand total of the prestigious Midlands Championships Hall of Fame to 59 inductees. The induction ceremony will take place before the final session of the Championships on Sunday, Dec. 30, at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Director of Midlands Tim Cysewski will present the inductees with their Hall of Fame plaques at center mat.
