Pair of Wildcats receive Big Ten Soccer Honors

Evanston, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference announced the 2018 men's soccer All-Big Ten teams and individual honors Friday. First-year Richie Bennett was named to All-Big Ten Freshman Team and senior Robbie White as one of the Sportsmanship Award recipients.
Bennet has started 15 of the 17 games this season. The Carmel, Indiana native checked in at No. 42 in TopDrawerSoccer.com's midseason Freshmen Top 100 earlier this year.
Senior goalkeeper Robbie White started 10 games in the 2017-18 season and tallied 55 saves. In the Wildcats' 6-0 victory over Concordia Chicago this year, White was in the box for 45 minutes and contributed two saves in the shutout victory.
Northwestern men's soccer will begin its postseason on Saturday against Ohio State in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament. Kickoff is set for noon CT in Bloomington, Indiana. Coverage will be available on BTN2Go.
