Fletcher, Miller Welcome Irene Kim on National Signing Day

EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern women's golf signed Irene Kim to a National Letter of Intent on National Signing Day, head coach Emily Fletcher announced Thursday morning.
Kim is ranked No. 7 in the 2019 class by Junior Golf Scoreboard. She earned Second-Team Rolex All-America honors and has a AJGA Rolex Ranking of 15.
A product of John F. Kennedy High School and La Palma, California, Kim was a semifinalist at the 2018 USGA Women's Four Ball and has earned three top-three finishes in AJGA events this season. She also claimed the CIF SoCal Regional Golf Championship with a 5-under, 68.
"Irene is one of the most talented and elite players in the 2019 class and we are thrilled to welcome her to our Wildcat Golf family," Fletcher said. "She is a tremendous young woman who exemplifies all the values and characteristics of a Northwestern student-athlete. She is a perfect fit for our golf program and I anticipate she will make an immediate impact on our team next year."
