Wildcat Invite Comes to a Close

EVANSTON, Ill. – The final day of the 2018 Wildcat Invite came to a close Sunday with the last round of singles and doubles play for each draw.
Lee Or continued her strong play, reaching the championship final of her draw, where she faced Akvile Paražinskaite of Kentucky. A pair of Wildcats also fared well in Flight D, as Vanessa Streng finished second and senior Rheeya Doshi won the third-place match.
Three more 'Cats also finished strong Sunday by each winning the back draw of their respective flight. Julie Byrne took the honors with a straight-set victory over Jennifer Kerr, and Inci Ogut followed suit with a convincing 6-2, 6-2 win in the consolation finals of her own flight. Caroline Pozo came out victorious in the back end of Flight G, also winning in straight sets over Nicole Kalhorn of Princeton.
