EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern Women's Soccer is encouraging fans to Think Pink throughout October to promote breast cancer awareness and to raise funds for the education, research, and prevention of breast cancer through the Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation.
On October 18, the 'Cats will host their Think Pink game against Illinois. By wearing pink to the game, fans can purchase tickets at the discounted rate of $3 each for the game.
The team will also host a silent auction of 29 game-worn Think Pink jerseys throughout this month. The auction will be available online and at the team's games on October 11, 14, and 18 via laptops at the media table. The auction will be open through 11:59 p.m. CT on Sunday, October 21 and winning bidders will be notified on Monday, October 22. Bidders only need to fill out the Bidder Information Form once, regardless of the amount of times they bid on jerseys.
Standalone donations from individual fans and organizations can be made through the Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation website, which has a specific page for NU Women's Soccer.
This is a continuing relationship between NU Sports and the Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation, with Wildcats throughout the athletic community working with Think Pink and Lynn Sage to combat breast cancer through awareness, education, prevention and research.
