EVANSTON, Ill. -- Travel to a galaxy far, far away as Northwestern takes on No. 14 Maryland for Star Wars Night! The game will be hosted at historic Beardsley Gym, beginning at 7 p.m.
The 'Cats hope that the force will be with them as they bounce back from a tough loss at Wisconsin Sunday, with standout performances by sophomore forward Abi Scheid, who scored 17 points, and junior forward Pallas Kunaiyi-Akpanah, who secured her 11th double-double of the season.
In honor of Star Wars Night, fans will get the chance to make their own lightsabers and participate in Star Wars trivia. Come in your best Chewbacca mask, Jedi cloak, or Star Wars themed costume for $3 tickets!
This discount is also available to fans bringing a donation item to the Cradles to Crayons Hygiene Product Drive. Cradles to Crayons, the primary beneficiary for Northwestern's Dance Marathon this year, is a nonprofit organization that provides children in homeless or low-income situations with the essential items they need. Donations can be items like towels, baby wash and shampoo, and kids' wash and kids' shampoo.
Students attending the game will have access to free shuttles, provided by Northwestern. Buffalo Wild Wings will be available to students arriving early!
The game will also be streamed online via BTN Plus on BTN2Go, and WNUR will call it on the air. Live statistics will be available from NUSports.com.
After facing off against the Terrapins, the Wildcats continue their homestand Sunday against Michigan on National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
