Peoria, Ill. — Senior Elo Ozumba took advantage of a loose ball in the box in the ninth minute to score the lone goal in Northwestern's 1-0 exhibition win over Bradley Tuesday night.

Senior Francisco Tomasino and freshman Miha Miskovic combined for a clean-sheet performance in net for the Wildcats. Each keeper made one save on the evening.

Bradley held advantages in shots, 14-13, and corner kicks, 6-2, but could not manage to find the back of the net against Northwestern's defense.

Ozumba was active Tuesday evening, taking four shots in the contest, two of which were on net.

The win improves Northwestern to 2-0 in exhibition games this fall heading into its final tune-up contest on Friday, Aug. 18 at SIU-Edwardsville.

Northwestern begins its 38th regular season, and 17th under Lenahan, when it welcomes Valparaiso to Martin Stadium on Friday, Aug. 25 at 7 p.m.  Northwestern holds a 13-5 advantage over Valparaiso in the all-time series meetings between the two programs. The Wildcats topped the Crusaders, 1-0, in their last contest during the 2014 season.
