EVANSTON, Ill. — Senior midfielder Catie Ingrilli, senior attack Christina Esposito and sophomore defender Claire Quinn have been voted to the All-Big Ten Team, the league announced Wednesday afternoon.

The trio are a part of the 20-member team made up of six attackers, seven midfielders, six defenders and one goalkeeper as voted on by the league's coaches.

Senior Danita Stroup was selected as the Wildcats Sportsmanship Award recipient, an honor given one student-athlete from each Big Ten institution to have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. In addition, these honorees must be in good academic standing and must have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting.

Esposito (West Babylon, N.Y./West Babylon) earned all-conference honors for the first time in her career after leading the Wildcats with 41 goals and 51 points through the regular season. She ranks sixth in the league in goals per game (2.35), ninth in points per game (3.00) and is fourth with three game-winning goals. A team co-captain, she scored in 16-of-17 games, recording eight games with three or more goals and 14 multi-point games overall.

Ingrilli (Wantagh, N.Y./Wantagh) burst onto the scene in her senior campaign with career highs in nearly every statistical category, including goals (24), assists (8), points (32), shots (62), free-position goals (15), ground balls (28) and caused turnovers (13). She rode a 16-game point streak to start the season and with Esposito is one of just two players to record a point in at least 16 contests thus far. Her 15 free-position goals this season are tied for the third most in NU single-season history as she ranks fourth in the league with 0.88 per game.

The midfielder stepped up in league play, ranking ninth in ground balls per game (2.00) and assists per game (0.83).

Quinn (Manhassett, N.Y./St. Anthony's) has been arguably one of the best defenders in the league in her sophomore season. She led all Big Ten players in caused turnovers (31) and caused turnovers per game (1.82) and led all defenders in ground balls (40) and ground balls per game (2.35). The Long Island native tied the second-best mark in program history with six caused turnovers in a win over Johns Hopkins on March 30, tying for the league high during the regular season. She has caused at least two turnovers 10 times and picked up at least two ground balls in 13 games heading into tournament play.

The Attack Player, Midfielder, Defensive Player and Goaltender of the Year, along with the Freshman and Coach of the Year, will be announced on Monday, May 8 following the conclusion of the Big Ten Tournament.

The Wildcats earned the No. 3 seed in the Big Ten Tournament and will take on No. 2-seed Penn State in College Park, Maryland, Friday at 7:30 p.m. CT on the Big Ten Network.
