EVANSTON, Ill. – A quartet of Wildcats received 2017 Women's Golf All-Big Ten honors, the Conference announced on Tuesday. Over the last five seasons Northwestern has piled up 20 total All-Big Ten awards.

Junior Hannah Kim and sophomore Stephanie Lau led the way as members of the All-Big Ten First Team.

This year's recognition marks the third consecutive First Team All-Big Ten nod for Kim, the two-time Big Ten Player of the Year. The Chula Vista, California native leads NU with 13 rounds at par-or-better this season, and won both the Hurricane Invitational and Silverado Showdown this spring.

For the second straight year, Lau was the Wildcats top finisher at the Big Ten Championships, earning All-Tournament Team honors with a fifth-place result last weekend at TPC River's Bend. The 2016 Big Ten Freshman of the Year earned a victory at the Pepperdine Triangular.

Junior Sarah Cho and sophomore Janet Mao both received Second Team laurels, the second career All-Big Ten nod for each.

Senior Kacie Komoto was selected as Northwestern's 2017 Sportsmanship Award honoree. The students chosen are individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. In addition, the students must be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting.

The Wildcats will learn their NCAA Regionals destination on Thursday morning, when the 2017 NCAA Championships field is announced live on the Golf Channel. Northwestern won the 2016 Shoal Creek (AL) Regional, the first Regional victory in program history, on the way to a best-ever ninth-place result at last year's NCAA Championships.

The 2017 NCAA Golf Championships for both men and women will be hosted at Rich Harvest Farms west of Chicago.
