Olivia Rosendahl Earns All-American Honors in 3-Meter Springboard

INDIANAPOLIS — Northwestern sophomore Olivia Rosendahl finished eighth in the 3-meter springboard at the 2017 NCAA women's swimming and diving championships Friday evening to earn her second career All-American honor.
A year after becoming the first diver in program history to earn All-American honors with a second-place finish in the platform, Rosendahl advanced to the finals and earned the top seed in the 3-meter with a career-best 375.25 in the preliminary rounds.
The Los Angeles, California native was unable to repeat her performance in the evening session however to finish eighth with a 314.70. She is the first Wildcat to earn multiple All-American honors since Courtney Allen accomplished the feat in 1999-2000.
Rosendahl will compete in her strongest event on Saturday in the platform as she looks to earn her third career All-American honor. Preliminary rounds will begin at approximately 11:15 a.m. CT with the top eight advancing to the finals at 5 p.m.
Senior Melissa Postoll and freshman Valerie Gruest Slowing will also wrap up their trips to the NCAA Championships as they compete in the 200 back and 1,650 free. Swimming trials will begin Saturday at 9 a.m. CT.
