Esposito and Lasota Named to Tewaaraton Award Watch List

EVANSTON, Ill. — Graduate student Christina Esposito and junior Selena Lasota have been named to the watch list for the 2017 Tewaaraton Award presented by Under Armour.
The Tewaaraton Foundation announced the 2017 Award women's watch list Tuesday evening. The list includes top players across all three divisions of NCAA lacrosse and highlight the early contenders for the award.

Esposito and Lasota were among 50 women named to the watch list for the award that honors the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United Stats. The selection committee is made up of premier collegiate coaches and is appointed annually by the Tewaaraton Foundation.
The pair of Wildcats are among 10 Big Ten student-athletes named to the initial watch list. Players not named to the initial lists have several opportunities to play their way into a spot as the season progresses. Watch list additions, if applicable, will be announced on March 16 and April6. On April 27, the field will be narrowed to 25 men's and 25 women's nominees. Nominees canbe players on the watch lists or players not on the watch lists, effectively allowing for a third round of additions.
Five men's and five women's finalists will be announced on May 11 and invited to the ceremony. The 17th annual Tewaaraton Award Ceremony will be held in Washington, D.C., on June 1.
