EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern senior Dylan Wu was named Big Ten Golfer of the Week after winning the UNCG/Grandover Collegiate, the conference announced Wednesday.

This is Wu's fourth Big Ten weekly award of his career and Northwestern's first of the season.

Wu helped Northwestern to their second-straight team championship this weekend, as NU edged out two top-30 teams to take the UNCG/Grandover Collegiate crown. Â Wu finished four strokes better than the next-closest entrant, finishing with a 7-under 209.

The Medford, Oregon, native posted under-par totals in all three rounds, highlighted by a first-round 69. The win was Wu's third of his collegiate career.

Wu paced the field with 15 birdies and lowered his season scoring average to 71.1 at the conclusion of the fall slate.

NU is off until playing in Big Ten Match Play on Feb. 9-10, 2018 in Palm Coast, Florida.
