All-Northwestern Matchup Set for Doubles Final at ITA Midwest Regional

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- It will be an all-Northwestern doubles final Monday at the ITA Midwest Regionals hosted by the University of Michigan.

Both of the Wildcats' teams emerged in a tiebreaker to reach the final.

After defeating DePaul's Keisha Clousing and Patricia Lancranjan, 8-4, in the morning's quarterfinal round, fourth-seeded Erin Larner and Maddie Lipp outlasted Ohio State's Shiori Fukuda and Maria Tyrina 8-7 (5) in the semifinal round.

Meanwhile, 5-8 seed Lee Or and Alex Chatt posted a pair of tiebreaker wins. In the quarterfinals, they topped Notre Dame's Brooke Broda and Allison Miller, 8-7 (2), before topping Ohio State's Anna Sanford and Olivia Sneed, 8-7 (3), in the semifinals.

The two Northwestern teams will square off at 8 a.m. Central time Monday for the title.

In singles action, Or and Rheeya Doshi both remained alive as they advanced to the quarterfinal round. Or knocked out the No. 1 seed in the draw as she upset Michigan's Kate Fahey 1-6, 6-4, 6-3. Doshi took out 5-8 seed Miller also in three sets, winning 2-6, 6-1, 6-3.

Northwestern is guaranteed an individual in the semifinals as Or and Doshi are slated to square off against one another.
