Game Notes
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Northwestern is back on the road with a game at Michigan on Wednesday night after back-to-back home wins against Indiana and Michigan State.
Northwestern (15-4, 4-2) sits fourth in the Big Ten standings while Michigan (16-5, 5-2) is slightly ahead in third. Both teams are receiving votes in the latest AP and Coaches polls.
The game is set to tip at 6 p.m. and will be streamed live via BTN Plus on BTN2Go. WNUR will have the radio call, and live stats will be available courtesy of Michigan. Links for all can be found in the table at the top of the page.
SERIES HISTORY
Northwestern and Michigan will take the hardwood for the 70th time on Wednesday, as the Wildcats lead the overall series 38-31. The 'Cats lead the all-time series in Ann Arbor, 16-14, and won the most recent meeting there, a 63-62 victory on Feb. 14, 2015.
JAMISON'S CAREER DAY
Sophomore Amber Jamison broke out in a big way last Tuesday in the Wildcats' 76-65 win over Michigan State. Jamison, making just her second start of the season, notched career highs in points (22), rebounds (6) and assists (3). She shot 8-of-12 from the field and made a team-high five three-pointers in the victory.
BLOCK PARTY
Northwestern ranks 13th in the country and first in the Big Ten in blocks per game with 6.0. The Wildcats have registered double-digit blocks twice and have had six or more on 10 different occasions. Nia Coffey leads the team with 30 blocks, and Lauren Douglas is not far behind with 27. Thirteen Wildcats have registered at least one block this year.
