MOULTRIE, Ga. — Northwestern rising sophomore Olivia Rosendahl won the women's open platform title to close out the AT&T USA Diving National Championships on Sunday at Moose Moss Aquatic Center.

Rosendahl, who missed the Olympic Trials due to illness, scored a 303.55 to take home her first senior national title. The gold medal comes on the heels of a silver-medal performance in the 3M diving competition on Saturday. The California native finished 3.7 shy of the gold medal in the 3M competition.

"It was such a disappointment to miss trials, but to come-back to this and win is amazing. I'm so excited about it all. I'm ready to learn new dives and keep going, I know I can do even better," said Rosendahl in a press release from USA Diving.

Rosendahl became the first NU diver in program history to claim All-America honors after finishing fourth from the platform at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships on March 19. She was a silver-medalist on the platform at the 2016 Big Ten championships and claimed a bronze medal at the 2015 World University Games in Gwangju, South Korea.
