Kaleigh Craig Named IWLCA Third-Team All-American

EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwester senior attacker Kaleigh Craig was one of 48 student-athletes named to the Division I All-American teams by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Wednesday afternoon.
The IWLCA will honor the 48 student-athletes at the IWLCA All-American Banquet on Saturday, June 4.
Craig's was named to the All-West/Midwest First Team last Friday to be eligible for and earn her third-team All-American plaudit. She set career highs in her senior season in goals (53), assists (14), points (67), game-winning goals (4), ground balls (35) and caused turnovers (16). The NU co-captain led the Wildcats in goals, points, game-winning goals and ground balls.
A native of Wantagh, New York, Craig scored at least one goal in 17-straight games – a career-best streak – to close the season and scored at least two goals in 17 of 21 games this season. She ranks fifth in the Big Ten in goals per game (2.58), seventh in points per game (3.26), first in game-winning goals and fourth in ground balls per game (1.74).
Craig finished her career just outside the top 10 in program history with 134 career goals.
