EVANSTON, Ill. -- On the 10th anniversary of its most successful season, Northwestern is hosting a Women's College World Series reunion at Sharon J. Drysdale Field for all five of its WCWS teams this April 15-17. NU advanced to the Women's College World Series in 1984, 1985, 1986, 2006 and 2007, and each of those squads will be represented at The J this weekend.
The 2006 season holds a special place in NU history as the first major women's championship run of the ESPN era.
