EVANSTON, Ill. — Former Northwestern All-American and current Seattle Sounders goalkeeper Tyler Miller has been added to the United Stats roster, U.S. Under-23 men's national team head coach Andi Herzog announced Monday.

Miller and the U.S. U-23 squad will play the CONMEBOL nation in a two-legged Olympic qualifying playoff, which will take place on Friday, March 25 and Tuesday, March 29.

He played with the U-23s on two occassions last year and joins a pair of goalkeepers as they head to Barranquilla, Colombia, to play the first leg on Friday.

A four-year starter at Northwestern, Miller earned First Team All-Big Ten Honors three times in his career. In his senior campaign, he led the Big Ten and ranked third in the country with his .854 save percentage. He was also the unanimous Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year and was named to the NSCAA All-Midwest Region First Team.

Miller helped lead the #B1GCats to a pair of Big Ten regular-season titles in his first two seasons in Evanston. In his sophomore season, he played every minute in net and tabbed a pair of shutouts in NCAA Tournament play, becoming only the second NU player to record double-digits in shutouts in a season.
