A Look at Northwestern
Northwestern is out to an 8-1 start this year that includes wins over then-No. 16 Florida and Virginia in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The Wildcats are riding a five-game winning streak coming into today and beat Milwaukee 65-63 on Sunday in their most recent outing. This is the third year in a row the 'Cats have won at least eight of their first nine games.

Northwestern ranks second in the country in blocks per game (7.4 bpg). Seniors Nia Coffey and Lauren Douglas lead the team with 15 blocks each. Northwestern has registered double-digit blocks in two games this year, and six Wildcats have at least five blocks this year.

Northwestern ranks 23rd in the country and fourth in the Big Ten in assists per game (18.1 apg), as the Wildcats have registered at least 20 assists in four games this year. Ashley Deary leads the Big Ten in assists per game (6.0 apg) and is the NCAA's active career leader in the category with 644 career assists.

A Look at UIC
The Flames have struggled to start the 2016-17 season and sit 2-5 overall with wins over Lake Forest and Robert Morris. Both of those games were won by an average scoring margin of plus-42 points.

UIC is led by Taylor Toney who is averaging 12 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Meli Emanuel-Carr joins her teammate in double figures with 10.3 points per game.

As a team, the Flames are shooting 40 percent from the field, 26 percent from long range and 60 percent from the charity stripe. The squad is strong on the offensive glass and rank 26th among NCAA Division I teams in offensive rebounds per game (17).
