FINAL RESULTS

LEXINGTON, Ky. —
A two-day event including two of the top 20 teams in the country brought the best out of the Northwestern women's swimming and diving program.

Despite falling to No. 17 Missouri and No. 18 Kentucky, the Wildcats posted season-best times and scores in 10 events and came away with one victory over Southern Illinois, 262-114, at the UK Quad meet.

Freshman Valerie Gruest Slowing highlighted the Wildcats' showing by claiming the 1,000 free on Saturday in 9:55.46. The time marked moved Slowing up to seventh in school history in the event and was the 13th-fastest time posted in the country this season. Slowing finished second in the 500 free on Friday night in a season-best 4:50.63 and finished third in the 200 fly with a time of 2:02.64, also a season best.

Junior Sydney Modeas (10:14.93) and senior Lauren Abruzzo (10:15.94) also posted season best times to finish sixth and seventh in the 1,000 free.

Sophomore diver Olivia Rosendahl won the 3-meter springboard on Friday night with a score of 315.10 and finished second in the platform competition on Saturday with a NCAA zone qualifying score of 244.85.

The Wildcats' third and final victory of the meet came from junior Mary Warren, who claimed the 50 free in a time of 23.56.

Sophomore Peyton Greenberg posted season-best times in the 100 breast (1:05.26) and 200 breast (2:19.91) to finish fourth and fifth in the events, respectively.

Seniors Melissa Postoll (2:00.86) and Lacey Locke (2:01.41) swam their fastest time of the season in the 200 back to finish sixth and seventh.

The Wildcats' 200-free relay team of freshman Krystal Lara, junior Katherine Senseman, freshman Malorie Han and Warren finished second with a season-best 1:35.55. The 400-free relay team of Warren, senior Melissa Postoll, Slowing and Lara also swam its fastest time of the season in 3:32.03 to finish third.

Chicago's Big Ten Team will be back in action together when it hosts the TYR Invitational at the Norris Aquatics Center Nov. 18-20. Postoll will represent the conference at the Big Ten/USA Swimming Challenge in Indianapolis next weekend.
